The price of the stay covers: apartment’s rental for the reserved period, agency brokerage, sales tax (IVA/VAT), welcome service at the waterbus stop closest to the apartment operated daily (from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM) by a Venice H&H employee, linen & towels, cleaning service at the end of the stay, customer careline for emergencies 24/7.

The reservation is confirmed once you receive the order confirmation via e-mail. The system will require a payment pre-authorization on your credit card for the entire amount of the stay. The payment will be finalized 7 nights after your arrival. In case you wish to cancel your reservation, your credit card will be charged only if you cancel less than 8 nights in advance.

To cancel your reservation

  • You can arrive at your apartment anytime from 2:30 PM.
  • From 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM welcome service is included in the price of the stay.
  • From 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM, check-ins have an additional cost of 30 euros, to be paid at your arrival.
  • From 11:30 PM on, check-ins have an additional cost of 50 euros, to be paid at your arrival.
  • At the moment of the check-in, guests will sign the lease contract and to give their personal data, which are necessary both for the invoice and for the tourist registration required by Italian authorities.

On arrival, guests will pay the tourist tax of 1,50 euros (0,75 euros for young people between 10 and 16 years old) and a 200 euros security deposit, which will cover potential damages to objects/furniture in the apartment. For this reason, a pre-authorization of 200 euros on your credit card will be required. If at the moment of the check-out there are no damages, your credit card will not be charged .

Cancellations made by VH&H
In the unlikely event that, due to serious and justified reasons or to force majeure, the apartment the Client has reserved is not available, Venice homes & holidays commits to informing the Client promptly, and reserves the possibility of proposing an alternate solution with the same standards required by the original reservation. In case the Client is not satisfied with the alternative proposed every obligation will be terminated and the client will receive all amounts that he has eventually paid. Nothing else must be asked to Venice Homes & Holidays.

Examples of force majeure are: strikes, hostile weather conditions (such as events of high-tide above 160 cm), fire, or any other event beyond Venice homes & holidays control.

We request that guests treat accommodations and amenities with care and ensure any specific property rules and regulations are adhered to at all times. Venice homes & holidays reserves the right to terminate the lease contract immediately, thereby requesting the Client and his/her guests to leave the accommodation and forfeiting the right to any compensation from Venice homes & holidays.

The accommodation must be booked for the number of guests staying. The number of guests staying/using the accommodation should not exceed the allocated capacity. Venice homes & holidays reserves the right to request you to leave or even evict you and your guests from the accommodation; thereby forfeiting the right to any compensation.

Additional services & costs to be paid on arrival

  • From 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM, check-ins have an additional cost of 30 euros, to be paid at your arrival.
  • From 11:30 PM on, check-ins have an additional cost of 50 euros, to be paid at your arrival.
  • Baby’s cradle (30 euros for the entire period of booking).
  • Midway cleaning service (50 euros - to be paid to the cleaning employee).
  • Linen & towels change (15 euros per person for linens, towels, bath mats, rags, tablecloth).
  • Animals are allowed only after a written request and the payment of 20 euros on arrival for extra-cleaning service.
  • Check-out is before 11:00 AM on the morning of the departure date.
  • Before leaving the apartment, guests are expected to tidy the kitchen and the tolls used during the stay and to dispose of waste by the time set by the City regulations (which is from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, Monday to Saturday).

In our apartments:

  • Smoking is forbidden.
  • Guests are expected to respect the house rules that pertain to the apartment and the community it belongs to. At night, guests in the apartment must not make any noise that could disturb other residents (especially between 22:00 PM and 6:00 AM).

Guests must follow the City Regulations concerning waste disposal (waste can be placed outside the apartment ONLY between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM, Monday to Saturday).

Law & Jurisdiction
The contract between the client and Venice homes & holidays is governed by the Italian Law, and it is subject exclusively to the Italian Jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any kind of dispute between the two parts regarding the validity, effectiveness, interpretation, implementation of the present contract will be settled in a friendly way and, only in the event that this is not possible, through the Mediator instituted by the Chamber of Commerce of Venice, whose regulation the parts declare to know and accept.

Venice homes & holidays is responsible for the treatment of the Client’s personal data, and therefore informs its Clients that they personal data will be processed with the sole purposes connected to the holiday rental agreement, in accordance with and pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 of the Italian Law.
